"TO A REMARKABLE WOMAN, A DEVOTED MOTHER, AND A PILLAR OF HER COMMUNITY."
Origins & Family
Born in the heart of Asante Asokore, Maame Yaa Ademu's life was a shining example of love, generosity, and faith. She married Cyril Kofi Nimarko, and together, they built a loving family of nine children—Stephen, Anthony, Bernard, Catherine, Agnes, Gabriel, Michael, Dennis, and Caroline (late). Her home was always open, welcoming all who came, and her charitable spirit touched many lives.
Hard Work & Community Development
A dedicated farmer, Maame Yaa Ademu's hard work took her to Sefwi Awaso, where she and her husband invested in the future of their community. In the 1960s, they selflessly purchased a whole block to be used as a school, furnishing it to provide a learning space for generations to come. They also built a chapel, a place of worship and solace for the community, where people could find peace and reflection.
A Faith-Driven Legacy
Her deep faith and commitment to the Methodist Church were the foundation of her life. She was a faithful member, always ready to support the church mission. Her charitable deeds were a reflection of her upbringing, continuing the legacy of her mother (our grandmother), particularly during annual harvests, where she would generously send her farm produce to support the church.
Our Guiding Light
Maame Yaa Ademu's kindness and caring heart have paved the way for her children to thrive. As we honor her today at Four Siblings Hotel, we celebrate her life and the impact she had on us all. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will continue to carry her legacy forward, inspired by her example of love, kindness, and devotion.
"Rest in peace, dear Maame Yaa Ademu. Your memory is a treasure, and your love will live on in our hearts forever."
